Before you download a model
Use the RAM/VRAM calculator when you want to know:
- whether an 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB machine is realistic;
- whether dedicated VRAM changes the recommendation;
- whether context length is likely to create memory pressure;
- whether you should start smaller before installing a large model.
